Butler Area School District is changing how administrators report data about COVID cases within the district.
According to a letter from Superintendent Dr. Brian White to families last week, the district previously logged all active cases to an online COVID dashboard but there has been confusion about the definition of an active case.
Starting tomorrow, the district plans to only post the number of COVID cases reported to administrators each day. The five most recent days of data will remain available for families to access through the district’s website.
White also encourages families to take advantage of the daily health and wellness check available on the website to make sure that kids are only sent to school when healthy enough to attend.
