The PA District 25 Little League 11U Champion Butler Team’s season came to end this weekend. After winning the District Title, Butler moved on to the Section 1 tournament that was hosted by Franklin Little League.
It was a double elimination tournament. In game 1, Butler lost to DuBois. DuBois was winning 4-1 going into the 6th inning, but they scored 7 runs in the top of the 6th and won the game 11-1. Jake Szebalskie led Butler with 2 singles, while Coltyn Povlick and Colton Hill each also had a single.
In game 2, Butler lost to Harborcreek out of Erie, PA 10-4. Game highlights included Colton Hill’s outfield catch and throw to home to gun down a runner for a double play, and the Butler team having 6 different players with a hit. Curtis Kuntz and Jake Szebalskie had 2 singles each, while Coltyn Povlick, Preston Richter, Jordan Vicari and Colton Hill each had one.
DuBois beat Harborcreek tonight 2-1 to claim the Section 1 Title and now moves on to States.
