Hendrick Motorsports has announced that Alex Bowman will be taking over the #88-car next season after Dale Earnhardt, Jr. retires. Bowman had replaced Earnhardt for 10 races last season while Jr. missed 18 races due to concussion issues. He won a pole and finished in the top 10 three times.
