An event later this week is aiming to give hundreds of bicycles to children in the area.
The United Way is sponsoring its annual “Build-a-Bike” event this Wednesday in Cranberry. During that time, volunteers will be spending time building bicycles that will be donated to kids in Butler and Armstrong Counties.
The event will take place at the Raider Pride Shelter in Cranberry’s Community Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will also be other United Way “Build-a-Bike” programs in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties later this week.
