The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 in 10-innings Sunday and managed a series split. Jose Osuna hit a two-run home run for the Pirates to win the game. Tony Watson pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the inning to pick up the victory. Arizona tied the game in the eighth inning on four walks. Reliever Daniel Hudson, a former Diamondback, walked three batters in 2/3rds of an inning, and Wade LeBlanc walked in a run.
The Pirates are off today and begin a three-game series with the Washington Nationals Tuesday. The Bucs are 16-22 overall, six games behind first-place St. Louis.
Gregory Polanco left the game after batting in the sixth inning with a left hamstring injury.
