The Butler Transit Authority is contracting with a company to redesign its website.
The work will cost about $16,000. The transit board approved the expense during a meeting on Tuesday.
The goal of the new site is to be more user-friendly, specifically when it comes to the new commuter service to Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh-based Blue Archer was the highest bidder among three different companies who provided estimates for the work but they were also the only designer to have compliance certification under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Officials say the new website will also be easier for current authority staff to update and maintain than the current site, which is about ten years old.
The new site is expected to be up and running by July 1.
