The Butler Transit Authority has approved a plan to modify one of their routes in order to accommodate a couple of new stops.
Starting Sept. 5, Route 5 will be stopping at the new VA Health Care Center on Duffy Road in Center Township as well as at the new Thompson Greene Apartments.
In order to accommodate those additions, the Byre Mor Court Apartments stop will be moved to the New Castle Road Wendy’s. Also, the Park Manor Apartments and Alameda Plaza Entrance stops will be moved to the Alameda Plaza entrance on New Castle Road but those stops will continue to be serviced by Route 1. Service to Butler Commons will be rerouted to stop only at Walmart and Panera.
In addition to those stop revisions, stop removals for Route 5 will include the Benbrook Medical Center Cul-De-Sac. People using that stop will need to utilize the Benbrook Medical Center stop instead. Also, Butler Crossing stops will only be serviced by Route 1 beginning Sept. 5.
