The Steelers have announced rookie quarterback Josh Dobbs will be the starter tomorrow night when they open their pre-season against the New York Giants. Dobbs was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft this year.
The Steelers are still waiting for running back Le’Veon Bell to sign his more than $12 million “franchise” tag offer and arrive at camp. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves have made running back Devonta Freeman to the NFL’s highest-paid with a new $41.25 million contract over five years. It includes a $15 millon signing bonus, and $22 million of the contract is guaranteed.
