One of the Americans that died in the terror attacks in Brussels last week had a western Pennsylvania connection.
Justin Shults and his wife Stephanie were at the Brussels airport when the bombs went off Tuesday. Both were among the 31 killed.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Justin’s aunt, Debbie Vargo, lives in Somerset County. Debbie’s sister, Justin’s mom, called her Saturday to let her know that she had identified Justin’s body.
The couple had lived in Brussels for about a year and a half after Stephanie got a job promotion to work overseas. The two met while students at Vanderbilt University.
