The latest installment in the Homebrewed History series at the Old Stone House will take place this weekend.
This event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Slippery Rock University facility and focus on German Beer and the Purity Law of 1516.
Those attending will have the chance to learn about how this law from late-medieval German history is still influencing German beers today. The brewing process will be demonstrated and sample beers using authentic recipes from the period will be served along with light hors d’oeuvres.
Tickets for this 21-and-older event are $25 and seating is limited. Advance purchase is recommended by calling 724-738-4964.
