The Milwaukee Brewers edged the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 Sunday, dropping back-to-back games to the Brewers. The Bucs fell 3-1 Saturday, and are now 2-8 against Milwaukee this season. Kyle Crick allowed an eighth inning home run and took the loss. Steven Brault pitched 4-2/3rds innings, allowing five hits and one run. Starling Marte had three hits of the Pirates seven hits in the game.
The Pirates open a four-game series with the Chicago Cubs tonight at PNC Park. Game time is 7:05pm. WISR pre-game is 6:40pm. The Bucs begin the night 39-43 overall, and are five behind the Cubs and Brewers. With Sunday’s win, Milwaukee has tied the Cubs – who fell 8-6 to Cincinnati.
