The South Butler County School District is operating on a precautionary modified lockdown on Monday following a threat.
School are open, but officials are asking that non-essential visitors do not report to the district. No visitors will be permitted to enter any of the school buildings.
The district will continue to operate with tightened security for the foreseeable future.
School officials say the Penn Township Police Department has arrested one student following a ‘serious threat to student safety.’ Officials say no credible threat to the district or its students remains.
