There have already been several accidents reported in Butler County as the freezing rain moved into the area.
At 6:45 a.m., a crash was reported on Route 422 eastbound in Butler Township, near the Lyndora exit. The crash was reported as a vehicle rollover.
At 6:55 am., a crash was reported on Evans City Road (Rt. 68) in Forward Township. Crews have reportedly shut down a portion of Rt. 68 near Buhl Road due to the crash and extremely icy conditions.
At 7 a.m., a crash was reported on Route 8 in Penn Township at the bottom of McBride Hill.
At 7 a.m., Greenwood Drive in Butler Township was reported to be a “sheet of ice,” specifically between Route 422 and Benbrook Road.
