Students at Butler Intermediate High School were evacuated just before noon Friday due to a bomb threat.
Superintendent Dr. Brian White wouldn’t elaborate on the nature of the threat or where it was found. Students were immediately evacuated and moved to the Sr. High School Auditorium.
An alert message was sent to parents informing them of the incident.
White says police and school officials are sweeping the building. If the facility is cleared, students will return to class. If not, students could be sent home early.
