A portion of Kittanning Pike in Parker Township that was shut down due to a box truck accident early Thursday has been re-opened.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. on Route 268 in between Parker and Bruin near Bear Creek hill.
Emergency crews arrived on scene to find a box truck overturned and leaking diesel fuel toward Bear Creek. A hazmat team was called-in to assist.
The road was shut down between Parker Pike and Annisville Road for nearly five hours with authorities urging drivers to use alternative routes.
