Pennsylvania’s jobless rate inched up in November, while the state also set a new record for the number of employed residents.
The state’s unemployment rate was up a tenth of a percentage point to 4.2 percent in November, its first increase since July 2016.
At the same time, the Department of Labor & Industry says the state set a new record high for the number of people working- six million, 172,000.
Five of the state’s 11 industry supersectors posted job gains in November with the largest gain in construction.
