A Harrisville couple could be the first Butler County couple to welcome a baby in the New Year and the delivery was anything but normal.
Adam and Amanda Sherman of Harrisville were at a car dealership in the South Hills of Pittsburgh on Monday afternoon, Jan. 2, when their daughter decided it was time to enter the world. Amanda delivered baby Heather Lynn in the dealership’s bathroom. There happened to be a registered nurse at the business, who rushed in to help.
Both mom and baby are doing great resting at Magee-Women’s Hospital.
The Butler Health System has not yet publicly released birth records for 2017. It’s unknown when the first baby of the New Year was born at Butler Memorial Hospital.
