A Butler County leader and a local municipality have received statewide recognition for dedication and commitment to strengthening communities and serving residents.
Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel was one of eight individuals honored while Cranberry Township was one of 11 communities to achieve a Governor’s Award for Local Government Excellence.
Boozel was nominated by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania as explained by Kim Bracey, Executive Director of Governor’s Center for Local Government at the Department for Conservation and Economic Development.
“Commissioner Boozel’s service on multiple boards matches his commitment to a wide variety of issues such as workforce development and human services,” Bracey said. “He’s also been one of the key driving forces behind the county’s priority to address the emergency medical services crisis, relentlessly pursuing legislation with other initiatives in recent years.”
Cranberry Township received their recognition for promoting community and economic development with the MSA Thruway project completed last year.
