The first reading of a new drug policy at Butler Area School District is expected to take place at Monday’s school board meeting.
The policy is modeled after other county public school district policies and would stipulate random drug testing for students who drive to school, are student athletes or participate in extra-curriculars.
The substance abuse policy will likely be in effect beginning next school year.
