With over 200 guests attending, the 2017 “Men Who Cook” event co-sponsored by WISR 680AM and Armstrong was a success.
Twenty-two men participated in Saturday’s event by cooking up a variety of entrees, soups and desserts that were then voted on by guests.
Taking home both the Golden Fork and the “Money Talks” Fork was Larry Sassone from the Butler BlueSox, who cooked a Japanese Goyza dish. The Golden Fork was based on the highest number of votes, while the “Money Talks” Fork was awarded for earning the most tips at the event.
Proceeds benefited the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, Armstrong’s Breaking Bread Initiative and the St. Vincent de Paul food bank.
