The Butler BlueSox fell 6-4 in 12-innings last night to the West Virginia Miners. The Miners forced the extra frames with a three-run eighth inning, then won with a walk-off two-run home run in the 12th. BlueSox starting pitcher Connor Coward allowed just one hit over six innings, while striking out nine. The Sox have returned home and will host Kokomo tonight and tomorrow. Tonight is a “Thirsty Thurday”. Friday is a Fireworks Night. The loss snapped a Sox four-game winning streak. They are now 12-12 overall and 3-1/2 games out of first place.
