The Butler BlueSox won on the road Saturday, beating the Champion City Kings by a final of 3-2.
Taylor Clemons was the starting pitcher for the BlueSox, and pitched six innings while striking out six. Patrick Ferguson homered for the Sox, which was his 15th of the year.
With the win, the Sox (28-20) are in first place in the Prospect League East, two games ahead of both West Virginia and Champion City.
The Kings will host the BlueSox again on Sunday, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:05pm.
