The Butler BlueSox defeated Chillicothe 7-4 last night. Knoch graduate Alex Stobert earned his fourth win of the season, allowing three hits and one earned run over 6-2/3rds innings. The Sox had 12 hits in the game. Their record improved to 36-22 overall, one game better than Western Division leader Lafayette, who come to Butler for the final two regular season games tonight and Saturday. Game times are 7:05pm.
The BlueSox will visit West Virginia Sunday to begin a best-of-three Eastern Division Playoff Series. The Miners earned their seventh trip to the Prospect League post-season in eight years with an 8-2 victory over Champion City last night. The Miners will host Butler Sunday, with the BlueSox hosting game two Monday. If a third game is necessary, it will also be played in Butler.
