The Butler BlueSox snapped a five-game losing streak with a doubleheader sweep of the Richmond River Rats Tuesday. The Sox won the first game 5-4. Allen Hooker had a two-run homer for the Sox, and starting pitcher Larry Wood picked up his second win of the season following six quality innings. He allowed three earned runs. In the nightcap, a 3-1 victory, Andre Jones pitched into the sixth inning allowing just one run for his second victory of the season. Butler closer Zach Spangler saved both games, and is tied for the league-lead with seven saves. The BlueSox travel to Terre Haute today for their first game of the season against a Prospect League Western Division team.
