The Butler BlueSox split a pair of seven inning games with the Quincy Gems Thursday night in the Prospect League. Butler won the first game 7-3, but fell in the nightcap 4-2. Butler first baseman David Marcus had four hits for the night, and drove in four runs. He currently leads the league in batting average, RBI’s and home runs. Game one starting pitcher Ben Hartz did not allow a hit over four innings striking out three to pick up the victory. The BlueSox picked up a half game on first place Champion City, and are now one game back in the Prospect League Eastern Division. The Sox host Quincy again tonight at 7:05pm for a Fireworks night.
