The Butler BlueSox split a double header with Champion City on Saturday, winning Game One by a final of 4-2, and dropping Game Two by a final of 11-9.
Game One featured a combined four home runs by both teams. Josh LaPiana pitched seven innings (which is a complete game because double headers in the Prospect League are seven innings each) and gave up only three hits, and struck out eight.
As for Game Two, both teams combined for five home runs. Patrick Ferguson hit his 13th of the year, which leads the Prospect League. Ferguson broke the BlueSox team record of 11 on Wednesday.
The Sox are currently half a game behind Champion City for first place in the East Division. Butler and Champion City will play a third game in Champion City on Sunday, with a first pitch at 4pm.
