The Butler BlueSox shut-out the Jamestown Jammers 2-0 Sunday in the Prospect League. Matt Gordon pitched seven shut-out innings while making his BlueSox debut on the mound. He did not walk a batter and struck out five. Closer Zach Spangler moved to within one game of the Prospect League record with his 15th save. The Sox were outhit nine to three, but still managed the victory. They remain 1-1/2 games behind first place Chillicothe in the Eastern Division. The Paints have won 10 games in a row, one victory away from tying the Prospect League record held by the BlueSox. Butler is off today and will visit West Virginia Tuesday prior to beginning a four-game homestand.
