The Butler BlueSox spotted West Virginia an 8-1 lead into the fourth inning before battling back and falling 9-8 last night. The loss ends the BlueSox hopes of winning the first half of the Prospect League Eastern Division with one game remaining. West Virginia leads Lafeyette by a half game entering tonight’s games. The BlueSox host West Virginia again tonight at 6:35pm, then visit the Miners tomorrow night to open the second half of play.
Coastal Carolina defeated Arizona 5-4 last night in game two of the College Baseball World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The teams meet again tonight in the deciding game three for the national championship.
