The Butler BlueSox lost to Lafayette 5-1 last night in the Prospect League. Sox starting pitcher Alex Stobert took the loss, despite allowing just one earned run over 6-2/3rds innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out eight. His record fell to 0-4. The Sox have now lost four in a row, and have fallen to 4-14 overall. They are off today, and visit Kokomo tomorrow.
The Altoona Curve split a doubleheader with the Richmond Flying Squirrels Wednesday. Both games were 5-1 scores. The Curve won the first game behind the pitching of Mitch Keller, who allowed an unearned run over six innings. He walked one and struck out four to improve to 8-2 this season.
