Another night of “breaking out the bats” for the Butler BlueSox last night, when they defeated the Lafayette Aviators 13-5. The Sox had 16 hits in the game. Butler improved to 9-5 overall, and have taken a 1-1/2 game lead over West Virginia and Kokomo in the Prospect League Eastern Division. The Sox visit Champion City in Springfield, Ohio tonight.
The BlueSox currently lead the Prospect League with a .297 team batting average. They have the most hits in the league and have driven in the most runs.
