The Butler BlueSox fell to Chillicothe 9-4 last night in the Prospect League. The loss snapped a Butler six-game winning streak. Sox pitching allowed three home runs in the game, including a second inning grand slam. Butler visits Chillicothe again tonight before returning home for their final two regular season games Friday and Saturday. The Sox will host Lafayette from the Western Division, who have the second-best record in the Prospect League, behind the Blue Sox.
In the chase for second place in the Prospect League Eastern Division, West Virginia split a doubleheader with Champion City. The Miners remain one game in front of the Kings. Chillicothe is two games out of the final playoff spot.
