The Butler BlueSox have extended their winning streak to three games after a 6-2 win against the visiting West Virginia Miners on Saturday night.
Starting pitcher Josh LaPiana, who has previously played for the BlueSox, pitched seven innings and struck out nine while giving up only one run. With the win, the Sox improve to 3-2 on the year, and are one game out of first place in the East.
The BlueSox are back in action Sunday afternoon, as they will once again host the West Virginia Miners. First pitch is set for 1:35pm.
