The Butler BlueSox closed out the 2017 regular season with a win over the visiting Layfayette Aviators on Saturday night, winning by a final of 15-10.
With the win, the Sox conclude the season with the Prospect League’s best overall record of 37-23. The Sox also secured the East Division title, and home field advantage for the 2017 playoffs.
Round One of the 2017 playoffs begin on Sunday for the Sox, who will play the West Virginia Miners in West Virginia. Game Two is set for Monday in Butler, and Game Three (if needed) will be in Butler on Tuesday.
