The Butler BlueSox and Champion City Kings were unable to complete either game of their weekend series in Springfield, Ohio as rain postponed both games.
Butler and Champion City were scheduled to play on Friday, but the game was postponed due to rain and moved to Saturday as part of a double header. Game One of the twin bill did get underway, as the Sox were able to pull out to a 3-0 lead. However, the double header was postponed partway through the fourth inning as rain continued.
The game originally scheduled for Friday will continue when the two teams meet on June 23rd, as part of a double header. Saturday’s game will be rescheduled as a double header on July 11th.
Butler will be back in action on Monday, as they host the Chillicothe Paints.
