DNA analysis has led to the arrest of a Westmoreland County man in an Armstrong County burglary last year.
According to State Police, 49-year-old David Ash of Vandergrift threw a brick through the front door of Miller’s Hoagies in North Apollo Borough in April of 2015.
He then took several money bags from a back office and fled the scene but not before he left blood in the shop from an injury.
Police received DNA analysis of the sample last month which matched Ash and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Ash was located and booked into the Armstrong County Jail.
