Bishop David Zubik of the Diocese of Pittsburgh is set for surgery today.
Zubik said he needs the surgery to repair a significant tear in his left shoulder. His doctors say he won’t be able to move his left arm for six weeks, and recovery may take six to eight months.
Zubik also has a history of back surgeries, and he joked in a statement that he’s “well on his way to becoming the bionic bishop.”
