A bill that advocates say would bring more transparency to state government is a step closer to becoming law.
The bill would require lawmakers to have an easily accessible online database of their official expenses—this includes reimbursements for meals, travel, office furniture and more.
In addition to the reimbursement prices, the bill would also require lawmakers to post a reason why that purchase was made.
It received unanimous approval at a House of Representatives panel earlier this week and could go to the full house sometime next month.
