On Knoch Athletic Hall of Fame night, the knights come out with a hard fought victory over Highlands. Knoch starting the scoring in the football game with a rushing touchdown about one minute left in the first quarter. Highlands then came right back and on the last play of the first quarter scored their own rushing touchdown but failed on the extra point. At the end of the first quarter Knoch led 7-6. Knoch scored the only points in the second quarter, on a four down and 12, Knoch scored on a 30 yard touchdown pass. At the half Knoch led 14-6. After halftime, Knoch started the scoring again in the third quarter with a 58 yard touchdown run and after three quarters Knoch led 21-6. Highlands tried to make a comeback as they scored a 20 yard touchdown run with 1:52 left in the game. After the rushing touchdown, Highlands scored a rushing two point conversion to cut Knoch’s led to 21-14. Knoch recovered the onsides kick and then ran out the clock. The game ended with Knoch winning 21-14 over Highlands. With the win Knoch’s record moves to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play on the season. With the lost, Highlands record is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
