A project is expected to begin this week to improve access to Moraine State Park’s North Shore.
PennDOT says this is a nearly $4.5 million, multi-year project that won’t be completed until next fall. Work will take place in both Muddy Creek and Worth townships.
Work will include construction of a new loop ramp from Route 422 East to West Park Road and the replacement of the existing ramp with a new two-way road. The left-turn lane from the I-79/Route 422 interchange to I-79 North will be extended and a traffic light will be installed at the intersection of Route 422 and the I-79 South ramps.
Drivers should expect congestion and delays.
