The Butler Health System is now administering Pfizer vaccine and booster shots at two locations.
The vaccine clinics are at the Butler Memorial Hospital Tower Entrance as well as the Butler Health System’s Crossroads Campus on Oneida Valley Road. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekday except Wednesday, which is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the hospital and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Crossroads.
Late last week the CDC announced that the following groups are eligible to receive a booster shot:
- Healthcare workers
- Individuals over 65 years old
- Residents of long-term care facilities
- Individuals ages 50-64 with underlying medical conditions
- Individuals ages 18-49 with underlying medical conditions, based on individual risks
According to medical authorities, the timeline for receiving a Pfizer booster is at least six months after the 2nd dose has been administered.
Appointments can be made by visiting Butler Health System’s website or by calling the Center for Community Resources at 888-550-7468.
