The Butler Health System has released more information about upcoming special COVID vaccine clinics for young children.
A clinic distributing Pediatric Moderna Vaccine for kids age 6 months to under 6 years old will be held at Butler Memorial Hospital Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. An additional Pediatric Clinic is planned for Saturday, July 30th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
As with previous vaccines, this immunization involves two shots administered four weeks apart which would mean that second doses would begin to be administered August 6th and 27th. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child to the clinic and bring photo ID along with the child’s insurance card.
Appointments for first doses can be scheduled through the BHS website or by calling the Butler County Center for Community Resources. Walk-ins will be accepted but online scheduling is highly encouraged.
