Butler County Community College has a new learning space for kids due to a large corporate grant.
The Green Garden Park located behind the Children’s Creative Learning Center on BC3’s main campus was dedicated in a ceremony late last week.
The outdoor nature classroom features a gardening area, a slide built into the hillside, a space for music, and an area to work with natural materials. The Alcoa Foundation’s contribution of a $25,000 grant in 2013 made the project possible.
The facility opened at the beginning of the fall semester for 36 students currently enrolled at the Center ages 3 to 6.
