Butler County Community College plans to still recognize graduates this year but with a different kind of ceremony due to COVID-19 concerns.
2020 BC3 graduates are invited to participate in a drive-through commencement on August 1st beginning at 10 a.m. on the main campus in Butler Township.
Over 560 graduates will be invited to bring their mortarboard, gown, tassel, and degree cover and process in their vehicle through a line over one mile long. Graduates will be able to exit their vehicle at designated stations in order to have their name announced on stage and have pictures and videos taken. COVID-19 safety precautions will be enforced. This ceremony is expected to continue all day.
Graduates wishing to participate in this ceremony must register and will be informed of the time they should arrive by email.
