A donation from a local business owner will allow for Butler County Community College to continue an economic education program for many students.
Dennis Baglier presented a $10,000 check to the BC3 Education Foundation and the College’s Center for Economic Education.
The gift will be used to fund the center’s Stock Market Game, an Economics Pennsylvania competition that teaches students about investing, saving, and financial literacy. Nearly 1,700 students in grades 4 to 12 at 30 regional schools compete each year in the stock market game.
Part of the donation will also go toward the Strive to Drive program which is focused on teaching teens about the economic concepts involved with purchasing a car.
