A Butler County Community College student was apprehended by campus police Monday afternoon after allegedly making threats against himself and others on social media.
The student was not identified in a news release from the college but the student was taken into custody in Butler Township about 15 minutes after BC3 police were notified of the threats around 2:30 p.m.
There is no current danger to students or staff so the college will remain open for evening classes and activities.
It is unknown at this time if the student will be facing any charges.
