You still have time to get involved in the ‘People at Work Symposium’ at BC3.
Dr. Steve Catt, from Butler County Community College, says the issues that will be discussed are those that many in HR departments deal with on a daily basis. He says they are also important topics for the rest of the workplace to be updated on.
The focus of the event is to find the best practices across the board within a workplace dealing with three specific points; new hires, baby boomers retiring, and drug addiction at work. Catt says discussion will cover ‘on-boarding’, otherwise known at hiring and finding the best practices to seek out the best person for a job, ‘off-boarding’, or finding the right way to capture valuable information long term employees have before they leave, and the proper way to deal with drug addiction with employees while helping them and protecting a company at the same time.
Catt says this event will greatly benefit first time level supervisors, CEO’s, entry level managers, and those who don’t work with these issues in HR every day.
Deadline for registration is Friday, September 30, 2016 with the event on October 5, 2016 at BC3 in Founder’s Hall.
