An event at Butler County Community College to benefit athletic programs is considered a success after raising thousands for scholarships.
The Pioneer Pursuit last weekend collected over $10,000 and drew over 100 participants from around the region for a variety of activities including a 5K, one-mile walk, and kids 100 meter dash.
BC3 student athletes come from 19 school districts in nine Western Pennsylvania counties.
The Pioneer Pursuit also raised $1,340 to benefit BC3 alumni programs.
