Nearly 600 students received degrees from Butler County Community College last night, marking the school’s 50th Commencement.
The Class of 2018- which was the second-largest in school history- included a 19-year-old (the youngest grad), an 80-year-old (the oldest grad), parents who graduated alongside their children, and a four-year high of 28 student-veterans.
Butler Area School District Superintendent Brian White delivered the commencement address.
BC3 was chartered in 1965; the first classes were in the fall of ’66. Tuition then was $150 per semester.
