The BC3 Education Foundation has awarded three Butler County Community College students with $1,000 EdgeMarc Natural Gas/Science and Technology Scholarships for the fall 2015 semester.
Nathan Huey, an engineering major; Julia Baxter, an engineering technology major; and Kirk Guidotti, a chemistry major; received the scholarships. More awards will be given out for the fall 2016 semester.
Recipients must be from Moniteau, Karns City or Butler Senior High School and enrolled in the Energy Technology Workplace Certification Program or any program in the Science and Technology Division at BC3.
The scholarships are made possible through a gift from EdgeMarc Energy Holdings to students interested in pursuing careers in energy production, technology and related fields.
