A poem written by a Butler County Community College alumna has been recognized in a national publication.
Rhiannon “Nikki” Martin was featured in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s literary anthology, Nota Bene, for her poem “Eliot Said April is the Cruelest Month…”. Nota Bene recognizes outstanding writing from members across the nation.
Martin is from East Brady and graduated from BC3 last spring (2015). She said writing the poem was a means of personal catharsis in the face of tragedy.
